Brainard: Fed Close to Finalizing Deal on Treasury Market Data Collection

The Federal Reserve is close to finalizing an agreement to start collecting Treasury market data from banks, and plans to propose a rule to collect data on agency mortgage-backed securities and debt transactions, Fed governor Lael Brainard said Monday.

In prepared remarks, Ms. Brainard said the Fed is close to an agreement with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority to expand the collection of Treasury market data to key banks that are also active in the Treasury market.
